Permiso

Role: Art Director, Lead Designer
Partnered with: VSSL Agency Creative Director, Copywriter, Illustrator

Permiso needed to differentiate themselves in an oversaturated cybersecurity market, but their existing two-page site and limited visual system were holding them back. While my team developed the brand positioning, I expanded the visual identity through a broader color palette, an extended typography system, and a scalable asset library created in collaboration with an illustrator.

My goal was to ditch category-standard tropes in favor of a bold, irreverent digital presence that proved cybersecurity doesn’t need to be complicated. Leading art direction across layout, illustration, and motion, I used playful visuals to translate complex technical concepts into approachable moments. Supported by thoughtful micro-animations and hidden Easter eggs, the final site clearly communicates product functionality while establishing a highly distinctive voice.

This project was ultimately recognized with a San Diego One Club Award and an American Advertising Award.
